These stand off are made using 4140 hardened steel. We have found that a softer material is more durable than a hardened material.
The 4mm x 16mm set screws are made using 10.9 grade steel and are anchored with a 4 mm lock nut.
USE RED LOCK ON THE 4MM SET SCREWS AND LET SIT FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE USE.
IT IS BEST TO CLEAN THE 4MM SET SCREW WITH ALCOHOL TO REMOVE ANY OIL LEFT ON THE SCREW BEFORE INSTALLING.
We have added a 4 mm lock nut to hold the shocks on as we have seen the m break during hard landings.
It will be necessary to drill out the shock tower holes to 4 mm to accept the 4 mm set screw. A drill is provide in the kit.
